Epiphany Crafts Puts a Little Joy in Your Heart!!

That is...it makes the perfect holiday ornaments come to life!

Perfect example...Designer Linda Auclair's creations we're tickled to share with you today!

Linda not only used Epiphany Crafts Tools and embellishments...she also included Tattered Angels as well! Notice how our Scallop Tool and Bubble Caps finish off the ornament and create a sweet spool! And our Button Charms make just the right finishing touch to both!!

Joy Ornament
Designer: Linda Auclair

Spool ornaments are all the rage this holiday season, and here is my take on the design using Epiphany Crafts custom buttons and epoxies to put an fun and individual twist on the traditional design.

Epiphany Crafts Supplies:

Epiphany Crafts Button 14
Epiphany Crafts Scalloped Circle 25

Other Materials used:

3/4 inch wooden spool
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Sweet Clover)
Tattered Angels Glimmer Must (Pearl)
Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam (Bordeaux)

Echo Park Paper "Merry Christmas" collection paper (Christmas Carol)
October Afternoon Good Cheer collection paper (Sleigh Bells)
small jingle bell
Baker's Twine by The Twinery in Marichino
Glimmer alphabet letters by Making Memories
Fiskars craft drill

Instructions:

1. Paint the wooden spool with the Glimmer Glam. Allow to dry.
2. Spray a 3/4 inch by 6 inch length of the Christmas Carol paper with the Glimmer Mists. Allow to dry.
3. Wrap the spool with the Christmas Carol patterned paper, adhering with liquid glue.
4. Create 2 Scalloped Circle epoxies with the blue side of the Sleigh Bells paper. Create 2 buttons with the red side of the Sleigh Bells.
5. Using the smallest drill bit, drill two small holes through both the Scalloped Circle epoxies.
6. Assemble the ornament by passing a needle threaded with the twine through one hole of the scalloped circle, then through one of the button holes, then through the loop of the jingle bell, and then back through the button and scalloped circle in turn. Pass both ends through the spool, and repeat the action on one button hole at a time with each end of the twine, and tie at the top.
7. Adhere letter stickers to Christmas Carol patterned paper.
8. Hang and enjoy!
